Well, the 2012 Event is over for another year. And what an amazing year it was. We had people attend from Greece, from France, from Brussels, from the USA, from London, from Yorkshire and more. We listened to amazing books read by incredible authors, we chatted and laughed and talked about writing and publishing. We had fun at the various bars, we drank amazing coffee from Starbucks, we had great food. I am so proud to be a part of the BSB family. Below are some pics of the event, and if you have any feedback to give about the weekend, by all means post it–we’d love to hear from you!!
This year’s event is August 4th and 5th at Waterstones, Nottingham. Here are the details:
SATURDAY: August 4th at Waterstones, 2:00pm – 5:00pm. Panels–Authors will read from their latest work, take your questions and sign your books!
Saturday night at Propaganda in the Lace Market: 5:30-7:00pm
SUNDAY: August 5th at Waterstones, 11:00am – 1:00pm. Starbucks providing coffee/nibbles at Waterstones. Sneak peeks of forthcoming books and Publishing Q&A.
Sunday afternoon at The New Foresters: 1:30-4:00pm. Free lunch provided by The New Foresters. Authors signing.
August 4th and 5th at Waterstones, Nottingham, 4th Floor. Just off Market Square in the City Centre!
The Saturday night after party will be at Propaganda, a fantastic gay bar in the historic Lace Market, about a five-minute walk from Waterstones. Come and have a drink after the panels, chat with the authors and get your books signed.
Lunch will be held at The New Foresters for the final Author Meet and Greet. Last years turn out was fantastic, and we’d love to top it this year. Debbie made loads of veggie and non veggie goodies on the barbecue as we chatted and laughed in the beer garden.
This is your chance to listen to great LGBTQ authors read from their newest work, as well as purchase great Queer fiction you can’t find in bookstores. Plus, we’ll have books for sale from other BSB authors not attending the event as well. And, due to popular demand, we’ll also be doing the Publishing Q&A panel on Sunday.
Attending authors have also been confirmed, and it’s our biggest panel yet:
Rebecca S Buck
D Jackson Leigh (all the way from the USA!)
