2016 Event

The 7th Annual Bold Strokes Book Festival, UK

June 4th-5th 2016

Waterstones, Nottingham City Centre

4th Floor, Sillitoe Room

Saturday June 4th, 11:00-5:00, followed by our annual Author-Reader mixer

Sunday June 5th, 11:00-2:30, followed by our annual meet and mingle lunch

Join us for a celebration of LGBTQ writing! Our fourteen authors have incredible new books to share with you. We’ll hear some readings, throw candy, ask questions about writing and publishing, give out goodie bags, and generally just have a fabulous time!

Plus, there are author meet and mingles both days, where we hang out and you can ask the authors all manner of questions and get your books signed.

The entire weekend is FREE! We’d really love you to join us.

Oh–and, if you want to pitch your own book to Bold Strokes, in hopes of becoming one of the family, get in touch for a pitch slot on Sunday!

Attending Authors:

Christian Baines (All the way from the USA!): Puppet Boy
I. Beacham: Salvation
Jane Fletcher: The Shewstone
Robyn Nyx: Never Enough (Out in Nov!)

  1. Hi there,
I have just followed a link from Facebook to get tickets for this event. Do we need them or is it a ‘turn up on the day’ event? There are 4 of us. I can’t find a link to get tickets/passes?
    Thanks in advance!
    Sarah

    1. Hi there! Fantastic, glad you’re all coming! Nope, there’s no ticket necessary, the weekend is free (except for drinks at the after parties!) But if anyone wants to pitch their novel to me, I need to provide a pitch slot!

    1. You can come as you please! Our panel sessions are throughout the day, until we leave for the author meet and mingle at Rough Trade, at about 5pm.
